Welcome to my life

05:32 pm - Closer

So...it's been awhile. Last weekend was fun. I got to go to the rodeo with 3 of my awesome quadmates. We had a blast.
On another note, I found out some stuff that I REALLY didn't want to know. Leave to your so-called best friend to turn your world upside down and make you feel like the stupidest person in the world. Oh well, he can kiss my ass...

So, we broke our door today. No...seriously. It refused to open. Emily, Alyssa, and I are stuck outside, while Sarah and Rebecca are stuck inside...for about an hour. The magical physical plant man had to come obliterate our door knob to get it open. Sarah was late to class, so she took the door knob with her to show the professor. What are the chances?

Moral of the Story: When the door knob is loose, fix it.

Wow, it's been awhile. The first week of classes was crazy, but it was worth it because we have 23 amazing Alphas!!! The rest is just a blur. I am sick yet again, classes never end, etc. I guess that's it for now. Congrats Z'05!!!

Oh, the joys of the company Christmas party...
I got to spend the entire day letting various people in the house (the decorator, the caterer, etc.), writing checks, making sure everything ran smoothly, etc.
Now, I get to dress up, put on a fake smile and pretend that I live the charmed life with the best father that anyone could possible ask for.
Here's a breakdown of the typical company Christmas party...
Dad invites all of his clients over to his house to celebrate the holidays.
Everyone gets to forget for one night that they only know my dad because he bailed them out of jail for tax evasion.
I get to walk around smiling and talking about the prestigious college that my dad pays for me to go to(lie, dad hasn't paid a cent)
Everyone gets drunk, thanks dad for the wonderful party, congratulates him on doing a great job raising his kids (another lie), and dad gets to keep his clients until the next company Christmas party...
sounds fun, doesn't it?

01:40 am - Panic Room

Hello all! I decided to update my journal just in case any of y'all are checking your computer, desperately trying to find something to do. I've decided that they shouldn't force us out of our dorms during Christmas break, because I would totally stay there. I'm bored out of my mind and I don't know if I can stand my family for an entire month. On top of that, I'm still on my finals week sleeping schedule, staying up all night, then sleeping until 2pm. If any of y'all want to come to SA to visit me or take a road trip somewhere, I'm totally up for it. I sincerely hope that y'all aren't as bored as I am. I'm about to lose my mind. I guess that's enough ranting for now, I'll probably check in later.
P.S. To illustrate how truly bored I am, I did research for my little brother's sociology project today.
Help!!!

I DON'T need a cigarette...

However, I could use a gun...

11:33 pm - Icebergs and Islands

So, I was teaching one of my kindergarten lessons to some of my roommates about living and non-living things. It's a good thing I did, because as it turns out, one of my roommates (who shall remain nameless) thought that clouds were living. Don't worry though, you light up my life.
On a sadder note, Diego has passed on. We gave him a proper funeral and my roommate read a quote from her book entitled "Death Set to Music." It was a lovely service.

11:38 pm - The Butterfly Effect

If you didn't pay attention the first time, please listen to me this time. Don't ever take anything for granted. Live life to the fullest and love with your whole heart. Never hold back. Make sure everyone in your life knows exactly how you feel about them, before it's too late. I'm praying for you girl. I love you.

09:43 pm - Margarita Bar

Things that made this the best weekend ever:
--Getting a half-missing gift from LaLa
--Watching the Spurs play in person
--The Spurs beating Miami
--Watching Emily do an interpretive dance to a Garth Brooks song while driving down I35 at 1 in the morning
--Eating a Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner with my awesome cousin who just got the second highest score in Texas on the Bar Exam
--Going to the Pike’s Bellbottom Bash and dancing my ass off with Jessica
--Shopping for random gifts with Jennifer at WalMart
--Eating a whole bag of cookies before we left the store
--Having a half hour long conversation with my mom and brother about my non-existent boyfriend
--Going on a coffee run with Emily
--Movie night with Emily
--Talking about boys with the girls

11:19 pm - The Froggy Frog Team

Ok...so, there is a definite possiblity that I just broke my finger. Don't ask how. Just let me say that I will start paying attention in class from now on. On top of that little fiasco, I have a cold and no voice to speak of (ha,ha, get it?...sorry). So, I called my brother yesterday and he didn't believe that it was me. My roommate is making fun of me because I can now do a better guy impression than she can. Everyone else is making fun of me because I can show absolutely no emotion. Oh, and because I asked my dad when Christmas was. (There's a story behind that, I'm not an idiot, I swear.) On the flip side, I can do a totally awesome Ferris Bueller impression. So, wish me luck on the 2 presentations that I have tomorrow, that should be fun.

I couldn't tell you why she felt that way,
She felt it everyday.
And I couldn't help her,
I just watched her make the same mistakes again.

What's wrong, what's wrong now?
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

Open your eyes and look outside, find the reasons why.
You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind.
Be strong, be strong now.
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

Her feelings she hides.
Her dreams she can't find.
She's losing her mind.
She's fallen behind.
She can't find her place.
She's losing her faith.
She's fallen from grace.
She's all over the place.

She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

She's lost inside, lost inside...

11:12 pm - Happy Halloween

A wise women once said, "Sometimes you have to close a door so completely when all you want is a window to sneak out of."

How are you supposed to make the right decisions when the people around are so loud that you can’t even hear your own heart?

Oct. 29th, 2004

11:10 pm - Trick or Treat

Who knew that braiding someone's hair around a clothes hanger could be so much fun? I live with the cutest little Pippi Longstocking ever. On another note, how peculiar is it when you come home to a room full of cigarette smoke when you know for a fact that neither you nor your roommate have been in your room all night? Hmmm....suspicious....

01:49 am - Bienvenido a Miami...

Yay for random guys who ask you to smell their deodorant
Yay for 90’s pop stations
Yay for extremely weird dreams
Yay for totally forgetting what day it is
Yay for giddy quad-mates

Oct. 25th, 2004

11:39 am - I will remember you...

"Always leave loved ones with loving words, it may be the last time you see them."

"All things said and all things done,
Life is short...
At the end of the day
That's another day gone
Life is short...." ~Butterfly Boucher

Everything was going great, life was good, even though I was too caught up in other things to notice it. Then I got a wake up call. Life isn't permanent. Bad things, horrible things, unthinkable things, happen to good people. Don't take life for granted. Stop and smell the roses. Spend time with people you love. Never, ever leave someone with angry words...

To all of you in Seguin, I'm praying for you.

I love you grandpa...

01:35 am - Breakdown

So I finally broke down and got one of these things. Even though it means Emily will now make fun of me for the rest of my life, not that this is any different than usual. Now all of you can hear that madness that goes on in my head. That's all for now.
